“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”, which means “God with us”. Matthew 1:23
Merry Christmas!
The good news of great joy to all of us healing from the effects of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual abuse and trauma — or the every day hurdles of grief, relationships in disrepair, financial hardships and life— is that the Christ Child is with us. He is Immanuel.
Our faith gives us a Friend and Counselor, the Prince of Peace— His Wonderful Presence through His Spirit.
Sometimes the holidays can be lonely. Sometimes, a melancholy can hang over our hearts amidst the merriment, the family gatherings and the nostalgia of Christmas’ past.
But Jesus’ name is God With Us! The message of the ages cries “You are not alone.”
May that truth bring you comfort and joy. May that song echo as loudly as the angel voices on Christmas night, may it shine in your heart as brightly as the star, may it fill you with a jolly that far surpasses that of St.Nick or the misfit toys that were finally found and loved.
God is with us. That is His name.
God with us. That is His mission.
God with us. That is the essence of His birth.
God with us. That is our Merry Christmas!
Sadie Speaks wishes you a safe and sacred space of healing and hope. I wish you the empowerment of finding your voice — a voice that can sing with the angel choirs—
Jesus is born! God is with us! I am not alone.
God’s richest blessing to you.
Merry Christmas!
